California hires Eric ‘Fast & Furious’ Holder to combat President Trump’s agenda

California’s Democrats are already preparing for intense legal battles against the soon-to-be inaugurated President Donald Trump. And the news media appear to be excited that part of their strategy to combat Trump and his team is the retaining of President Barack Obama’s former attorney general, who many law enforcement officials believe corrupted his office and the entire Justice Department.
Donald Trump was endorsed by the majority of police organizations and unions. But Holder disgusted them.

Democratic lawmakers in California’s state legislation told the nation on Wednesday that they have retained the services of former Attorney General Eric Holder as their legal counsel to advise them on how to challenge the incoming Trump government. The fact that Holder is the only attorney general in U.S. history to be held in contempt of Congress — as a result of his misleading, often mendacious, testimony regarding the Fast & Furious gun-smuggling scandal that had caused the death of a Border Patrol agent — doesn’t appear to bother the Golden State’s Democrats or the news media..

Holder will be working out of his offices at the Covington & Burling law firm, where he’s been working since leaving the Obama administration in 2015. It was at that firm, prior to his work for Obama, that he defended Islamic terrorists being held as enemy-combatants at the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, military detention center.

“The fact that the Democratic Party in California would hire a man who corrupted the federal justice system, harassed and prosecuted law enforcement based on skin color or ethnicity, and would complain about racism while practicing racism, says a lot about how far down the sewer the Democrats have gone in their quest to change America,” said former local police captain and director of security Louis Warnke. “Of course, the mainstream news media loves Holder and they’ve always been counted on to defend him with their ‘fake news’ coverage,” Warnke added.

The former police captain pointed to NBC News’ Chuck Todd who said on-the-air that Holder was the least “politicized attorney general in many years.”

His supporters praise Holder for taking on tough cases, but opponents say he’s a race-baiting attorney who views everything through a leftist prism. For example, when members of the New Black Panther Party intimidated voters during the 2008 presidential election, Holder refused to prosecute the suspects, which infuriated career attorneys at the Justice Department.

In December 2010, the Civil Rights Commission released a report concluding that their investigations had uncovered “numerous specific examples of open hostility and opposition” within the Department of Justice to pursuing cases in which whites were the victims. The report accused the Department of Justice of failing to cooperate with investigations into its reason for dropping the case, stating “While the department has issued general statements that it enforces the laws without regard to race, these assurances do not confirm, deny or explain the specific allegations of misconduct.” Holder was never disciplined for allowing his department to become so politicized and corrupt.

“With the upcoming change in administrations, we expect that there will be extraordinary challenges for California in the uncertain times ahead, This is a critical moment in the history of our nation. We have an obligation to defend the people who elected us and the policies and diversity that make California an example of what truly makes our nation great,” California Senate President pro Tempore Kevin de León and Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon said in a joint statement.

Many in law enforcement will always see the spirit of hero cop Brian Terry whenever they see political hack Eric Holder pontificating about law and justice.

Of all policies that may lead to legal battles between the state and the federal government, the sanctuary city policies are the most likely to be challenged by Trump, who has threatened to block funding of state institutions that are violating federal immigration and criminal laws.

The Fast and Furious Debacle

The 2010 killing of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry exposed Operation Fast & Furious  in which agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, a branch of the Justice Department, allowed criminals to buy guns with the intention of tracking the weapons. But the agency lost most of the smuggled guns, including two that were found at scene of Terry’s death. It proved to be one of history’s biggest law enforcement snafus.

The operation set off a political firestorm, led to congressional investigations and was excellent practice for President Barack Obama to deal with the scandals in his administration. It also caused the Attorney General Eric Holder to be held in contempt of Congress for his alleged perjured testimony. However, no one was ever held accountable for the operation or the death of Agent Terry.

And so, this is the man chosen by the Democrats to save their programs from having to comply with the nation’s laws.

I am former law enforcement and I also worked the Southern Border in the San Diego District and was stationed in Calexico and San Diego 15 years. The last time I looked ATF was still part of the Treasury then later switched to DHS, but not DOJ. In any event……
I am very familiar with Operations at the Border and the various ways WE collect intelligence and only “Inexperienced” agents or the Attorney General Eric Holder woudl ALLOW a smuggler to go south into a foreign country like Mexico where WE can NOT chase them or have jurisdiction etc..
I have seen a few cases where the same thing happened on Loads of Narcotics were lost cause the stupid Customs Agent allowed a freshly converted snitch to take a load vehicle and merely drove into Mexico while flipping the Bird to the Agents.
Even the so called “Experts” need to take a good luck at what is going on here and take a new approach which resembles Military tactics as we are deep into a Drug War and most Americans just do NOT “get it”.
It is time to take control and even our own agencies like U.S. Customs have been infiltrated with Drug Cartels and I can attest to that.
Maybe we need to learn something form a movie out of Hollywood which still had logistical mistakes in it, but there were “other” lessons to be learned.(Sicario with Benicio del Toro)
Eric Holder is just another Democrat “political” who still has no operational experience.
U.S. Attorney’s never leave the office or the security of a courthouse and they “think” they know what it is like and they don’t.

Thanks for your perspective, John. By the way, the ATF is part of the Department of Justice. It’s gone back and forth between Treasury and Justice. It went to the Treasury Department because of the Volstead Act during Prohibition. Today it’s part of Justice which is why Eric Holder should have been punished for his lamebrain gun scheme.

The dept of justice doesn’t do justice to their title–its just another con-artist sales job upon the american public by Club Fed.

As far as retaining the services, frankly they’ll “get what they paid for”: A lazy politicized lawyer like Obama and Hilliary. Who on earth would retain the services of a lawyer who has probably pissed-off more lawyers, judges and voters than any other government lawyer?? Minus the title, Eric’s name won’t hold much sway except with stupid lawyers and lay people. Faced against the new AG guy who will be lawyer-sharp and probably 100% more honorable, and a whole team at the DOJ, I say “good luck” Eric and State of California. You know Obama didn’t pick Eric because he was exceptionally lawyer-brilliant…just that he was easily manipulated and shrewd.

Good luck Eric! Only the stupid people don’t realize that the State of California is a mere property administrator “governor” for the federal power holder: the conFEDERacy (federal) United States of America. Can you say “*itch and ho” State of California? Don’t believe me? Look at a similar Sate of Ohio. They had state constitutional and state laws against gay marriage. The conFEDERacy shoved a mere hot poker court jester “supreme” up their rump and made them sing “gay is OK”. They marched federal very fast. That’s what government employees do. Ever wonder why its an attorney GENERAL? Ever wonder why states have GOVERNORS if not to administer the GOVERNMENT employees and GOVERNMENT territory? (Most people don’t reside there….shhhh!) Trump has the cards now.
