Rep. Schiff Attempts to Bypass Special Counsel In His Obsessive Stalking of President Trump

As if portraying the obsessed antagonist Police Inspector Javert in Victor Hugo’s classic novel Les Misérables, one of the leading voices of the Hate-Trump movement, Rep, Adam Schiff, D-CA, is not going to allow the failure of two-and-a-half-years of special counsel probes, House of Representatives hearings and investigations, Senate opened and closed witness questioning and a steady stream of news stories bordering on the absurd stop him from attempting to overthrow America’s duly elected President Donald Trump.

Schiff’s Javert is letting all who’ll listen know that he has Hugo’s hero Jean Valjean (Donald Trump) in his sights as he continues to insist there is a mountain of evidence proving Trump’s guilt but can’t give even  one  example of his so-called proof.

Adam Schiff’s latest display of his obsession to take down a Republican president came about when he joined two other Trump-hating Deep State minions in sending out a letter to the CEO of one of the nation’s largest financial institutions.

The Democratic chairpersons from three separate House of Representative committees sent a letter — bypassing the Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office —  demanding that Capital One Financial Corporation hand over all of President Trump’s financial records related to his businesses, real estate and foreign investments, according to Rep. Jim Jordan, R-OH, a ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee.

The letter was signed by House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, and Chairwoman of the Committee on Financial Services Maxine Waters, and it was delivered to Richard D. Fairbank, the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and President of Capital One Financial Corporation.

“We [Schiff, Cummings, Waters] ask that Capital One Financial Corporation provide the requested materials,” the Democrats stated in their letter, which contained an attachment listing 17 specific entities, accounts or financial holdings.

“To expedite our review, we ask that you provide responsive materials, as they are identified, rather than waiting to submit them all of them at one time.”

Brent M. Timberlake, Vice President, Senior Associate General Counsel Card Litigation, Subpoena and Intake at Capital One, responded to Cummings demands. Timberlake said simply “get a subpoena.”

Republicans on the three committees and in House leadership position were kept in the dark about the Democrats’ demand for copies of Trump’s Capital One records and Reps. Mark Meadows and Jim Jordan sent a letter to Capital One Financial Corporation on Wednesday letting them know the Democrats exceeded the Committee’s authority under House Rule X.

Rep. Jim Jordan is fighting an uphill battle against the Democratic Party radicals who seem to be immune to punishment.

“We write to express to you our concerns with the inquiry as it exceeds the Committee’s legislative authority under House Rule X,” said Meadows and Jordan, in a letter sent April, 3, 2019 to Capital One Financial Institution. “As we understand the focus of the request, it broadly seeks 15 separate categories and subcategories of material relating to the finances and holdings of business entities previously associated with President Trump.”

Jordan and Meadows note that the “request also seeks all documents provided in response to ‘any request, subpoena, inquiry or investigation, by any U.S. federal or state agency, including, but not limited to, the Office of the Special Counsel Robert Mueller III.”

“The Chairs did not consult with the Republican members of the Committee before initiating his inquiry,” they state in their letter. “We understand that your company has replied in writing to the request; however, we believe it is necessary to inform you directly about our concerns with this partisan and improper investigation.”

Schiff and Fusion GPS’s Glenn Simpson

Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch called for a preliminary investigation into two top Democratic members of the House Intelligence Committee. The nonprofit public-interest legal group alleges that they disclosed classified information to the public in violation of House ethics rules.

Rep. Adam Schiff attended the Aspen Security Forum conference in July 2018, which was also attended by Glenn Simpson, the founder of the firm Fusion GPS. Press reports have detailed evidence of a meeting and discussion between Rep. Schiff and Glenn Simpson at the July 2018 Aspen Security Forum. As noted in The Hill newspaper:

“At the time of the encounter, Simpson was an important witness in the House Intelligence Committee probe who had given sworn testimony about alleged, but still unproven, collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.”

“Rep. Schiff has an ethics problem. His and his staff’s irregular communications with anti-Trump witnesses reflect poorly on the credibility of the House and its committees’ investigations,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “It has long been apparent that Rep. Schiff can’t be trusted to lead the Intelligence Committee, so we hope that Democrats on the Ethics Committee stop protecting Mr. Schiff and take action.”
