Dr. Alveda King: 2019 New Year Challenges Will Bring Our Nation to Our Knees

The following is submitted by Evangelist Alveda King:

With 2019 unfolding, we leave the roller coaster year of 2018 behind us. Now moving into 2019, we can expect more fireworks which will be accelerated in the Spirit.

In 2018 there were more ups and downs than we could have imagined. From the Supreme Court controversy which accelerated the sanctity of life debate, to the hair-raising mid-term elections that sparked excessive strife, to the increasing pressures surrounding border security; the heat is on. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.

Interestingly enough, in the heat of the moment, most of America agrees with our president; national security is a major concern. Many also support his leadership for sanctity of life, no tax payer dollars funding abortion, improving our economy, lower unemployment rates and higher economic growth rate, and his international gains. The MAGA agenda is working.

As we move through 2019, with the March for Life and the Martin Luther King week ahead of us, please be encouraged to mend fences and build bridges. Agape love and prayer should be allowed to govern us; and we must not allow ourselves to be divided by politics. Let this be a year of overcoming crimes against humanity such as racism and abortion; not color blind, but with eyes wide open.

Remember, love and prayer brought us through 2018 and will be needed this year and must continue on into 2020 when we start the next round of elections.

There will always be ups and downs; and there will be fireworks. Pray for a conciliatory end of the government shut down. Some are asking why we build fences and install burglar alarms on our personal properties; but refuse to protect our nation? Reasonable question.

I think we can all agree that we all want a secure America. The real issue is discovering how we must go about accomplishing that goal. Here are two viewpoints, one from Bruce LeVell, Executive Director of the National Diversity Coalition for Trump and the second from Chuck Norris.

The year 2019 brings an opportunity for our nation to seek God. We must not argue about politics; rather we must pray. We need to repent for our sins. We need to forgive others. We need to be mindful of the beatitudes of Matthew 5:1-12.

In closing, here’s a 2019 message on YouTube:
