Border Patrol, police officers blast Ocasio-Cortez’s border concentration camps allegations

These two Border Patrol agents are about the same age as Ocasio-Cortez, but they are actually serving the American people while Cortez is a Marxist fanatic.

The politically caustic firecracker Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-New York, is once again spewing her venomous anti-law enforcement rhetoric during her visit to the U.S. Mexican border. Rep. Cortez accused the U.S. Border Patrol of running concentration camps.

The darling of the extreme-left of the Democratic Party as well as many of the nation’s upper-echelon news men and women has made a number of anti-Border Patrol statements and allegations, for example: she claimed Border Patrol guards forced the illegal immigrants to drink water from filthy latrines.

However, the spokesperson for Border Patrol’s union called Ocasio-Cortez’s accusation “a canard from a socialist activist who is uneducated in matters of law enforcement and national security.”

Rev. Samuel Rodriguez was “full of indignation” when he saw the reports and heard from politicians about the deplorable and inhumane conditions for illegal immigrants at an El Paso County, Texas migrant detention center. But what he saw at the same facility toured by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y. with a group of pastors was “drastically different.”

“I read the reports, saw the news clips. I just wanted to see what was actually happening in order to better enable our efforts to find a fair and a just solution to our broken immigration system,” Rodriguez, who has advised President Trump and both Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush on immigration reform, noted. “To my surprise, I saw something drastically different from the stories I’ve been hearing in our national discourse. Even as a veteran of immigration advocacy in the U.S., I was shocked at the misinformation of the crisis at the border.”

“As with any news story, reporters call multiple sources seeking answers to various questions. If one chooses to provide a statement, the manner in which the statement is ultimately presented by the news typically reflects the political bias of the author, the editor, the owner of the news outlet, or some or all of the above. However, many times, the statements do not necessarily reflect the context in which the information was provided, nor are the statements always attributed to the right source,” said the National Border Patrol Council’s press office.

As is usual for Democrats, they depend on a constituency who hate cops at all levels of government. Hillary Clinton compared local police officers to terrorists with ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria), while former Congressman Luis Guttierez called Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents “the Gestapo.” Even President Barack Obama during a primetime TV speech called a police officer “someone who acted stupidly.”

Meanwhile, the Border Patrol’s union said, ” As representatives of the nation’s Frontline immigration officers and agents responsible for enforcing our laws and protecting our borders, we fully support and appreciate President Trump’s swift and decisive action to keep the American people safe and allow law enforcement to do its job. We applaud the three executive orders he has issued to date, and are confident they will make America safer and more prosperous. Morale amongst our agents and officers has increased exponentially since the signing of the orders.

“The men and women of ICE and Border Patrol will work tirelessly to keep criminals, terrorists, and public safety threats out of this country, which remains the number one target in the world – and President Trump’s actions now empower us to fulfill this life saving mission, and it will indeed save thousands of lives and billions of dollars,” said union officials.
