Trump Is to Blame for Anti-Semitic Machete Attack, Say New York Governor, Mayor
The United States recently endured a number of anti-Semitic violence and incidents in only the past two weeks, especially in a bloody attack in New York City on Saturday night.
A machete-wielding attacker stabbed five people Saturday night in Monsey, New York, during a Hanukkah celebration at a rabbi’s home. Police arrested a suspect about two hours later in New York City.
The local Jewish community reacted with anger and sadness Sunday to the latest outburst of anti-Semitic violence, this time a machete attack at a rabbi’s home during a Hanukkah party. Five people, including a rabbi’s son, were taken to area hospitals with stab wounds Saturday which was the seventh night of Hanukkah. All of the victims were Hasidic Jews. Prior to this past weekend’s attack, there were nine violent assaults targeting Jews in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area in just the last week, according to the Anti-Defamation League.
During a press briefing, New York’s Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) of New York – brother of MSNBC’s Trump-hating anchorman Chris Cuomo – took absolutely no responsibility for this latest incident against New York Jews. The suspect used a machete in his attack in Monsey, New York, north of Manhattan.
However, as with his father Mario Cuomo, who served as governor of New York State, Andrew tried to evade any criticism and tried to point the blame to President Donald Trump.
None of the reporters at the Cuomo softball briefing even mentioned that President Trump is a man who is loved by Israelis. In fact, officials from the Israeli government, Israel’s military and the Jewish State’s intelligence agencies have said that the most pro-Israel U.S. president since Ronald Reagan (not to mention that Trump’s own daughter and son-in-law are Jewish) — Cuomo said on Sunday that the attack is “an American cancer in the body politic.”
“This is an intolerant time in our country. We see anger. We see hatred exploding,” said Cuomo.
But more than a dozen cops and military warfighters quickly contacted their professional and fraternal organizations to complain about Cuomo’s – and the city’s Mayor.
“These Democrats really believe we’re all simpletons. The Democratic Party is the one that lies and cheats in order to achieve their stranglehold on the American people. As a matter of fact, the Democrats were involved in anti-Jewish operations when the so-called Palestinian Flotilla attempted to push through the Israeli blockade,” said Raymond Kirshaw, a former U.S. Army lieutenant and New York police detective.
The main organizers of the so-called Gaza Flotilla in 2011, were the Turkish-based Foundation for Human Rights, Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief (IHH), the Free Gaza coalition, and assorted radical-left leaders such as President Obama’s friends and colleagues William Ayers and Jodie Evans, who worked on the Governor Jerry Brown campaign in California. Evans is now the leader of Code Pink.
“Is it his own party’s hatred of Israel and not the GOP that plays bothsides against the middle? Cuomo’s own political party harbors Islamist who entered the U.S. illegally and while applauding such anti-Israel Islamists Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Michigan) and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minnesota),” said Kirshow.
Or maybe it’s Cuomo himself who tells “pro-life voters they have no place in his state.”
Meanwhile, New York City’s Mayor Bill de Blasio blamed hate “emanating from Washington” for the incidents of anti-Semitism, despite his own laxity in confronting crime in the city’s five boroughs.
Mayor de Blasio, nicknamed “Big Bird” by celebrity NYPD cop Bo Dietl, told Fox News Channel’ host Ed Henry on America’s News HQ that hate is “having an effect on all of us,” The Daily Caller News Foundation reported.
“I also want us to be clear what’s happening here,” de Blasio said Sunday. “An atmosphere of hate has been developing in this country over the last few years. A lot of it is emanating from Washington, and it’s having an effect on all of us.”
Henry questioned de Blasio as to whether the New York mayor was blaming President Donald Trump for the attacks, to which de Blasio responded, “Not just the president — I’m saying, but we have to be clear. We need a different tone starting in Washington.”
“We had, by the way, with Democrats and Republicans, both in the White House, that encouraged this country to actually find some unity and some common ground,” de Blasio added. “We haven’t had that for the last few years.”
“De Blasio is such a hypocrite. It was during the Obama years that the country was torn apart. It’s Trump who is attempting to bring about real peace and prosperity while all the Democrats do is collect donations and try to impeach the President,” said Laura Noel Zularak, a former undercover detective.
