Pray General George Patton’s ‘Weather Prayer’ for a Trump Victory: Randall Terry
During the Battle of the Bulge in WWII, the beloved American General, George S. Patton, ordered Father James Hugh O’Neil to write a prayer for good weather, so that the Allies might have victory in battle. Fr. O’Neil composed the following prayer, which was given to Patton, and was also distributed to other members of the Army for prayer:
“Almighty and most merciful Father, we humbly beseech Thee, of Thy great goodness, to restrain these immoderate rains with which we have had to contend. Grant us fair weather for Battle. Graciously hearken to us as soldiers who call upon Thee that, armed with Thy power, we may advance from victory to victory and crush the oppression and wickedness of our enemies, and establish Thy justice among men and nations. Amen.”
Let us pray a slight variation of this prayer, remembering that political campaigns are “war by another means.”
And in case anyone is wondering, NO, we are not comparing potential Democrat voters with Nazis. And YES, we ARE comparing Hillary Clinton and her violent, godless agenda to that of the Nazis.
Please forward this prayer, and let us pray something like this:
“Almighty and most merciful Father, we humbly beseech Thee, of Thy great goodness, to use immoderate weather to restrain those who would vote for Hillary Clinton. You know that she has vowed to kill your innocent unborn by abortion. Please stay her hand, and help cause her defeat by granting us immoderate rains in her political strongholds. Grant those who uphold your law fair weather for Battle. Graciously hearken to us as soldiers in the Church militant who call upon Thee that, armed with Thy power, we may advance from victory to victory and crush the oppression and wickedness of our enemies, and establish Thy justice among men and nations. Amen.”
May God grant that Hillary be defeated, and that Donald J. Trump is our next President.
