ISIS declares war on Trump’s inauguration: It will be ‘Bloody Friday’

When Donald J. Trump takes his oath of office as President of the United States only weeks from now, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria warns it will use his inauguration on January 20, 2017 to declare war on the United States and its allies. ISIS is calling that important ceremonial event “Bloody Friday,” according to the Homeland Security News Wire on Monday.

According to the Political Insider, in addition to launching an attack on Trump’s inauguration, ISIS has recruited multiple English-speaking jihadists — many of them women — to reach out to the infidels with their death threats. 

“ISIS is angry over the results of the American election that brought to power a President who they believe will give no quarter in the war on Islamic terrorists. They are also angry that in the waning months of his administration, President [Barack Obama] is taking credit for what others are doing in Mosul (Iraq) and Aleppo (Syria). He has also allowed U.S. military presence in Afghanistan to fester,” said former counter-terrorism operative Milton Sedgewick, now working as a security contractor.

Security services in European countries are also facing a new paradigm: an upswing in the number of female jihadists who are recruited by ISIS to engage in terrorists acts, according to HSNW. 

Women who have joined ISIS were, until the last year or so, largely kept to support the male Islamists in the terrorist organization.  This year while ISIS has been forced to retreat the organization has reversed its policy on women in operational roles. It’s also increased the training and use of children especially in the Gaza Strip (Hamas) and Nigeria (Boko Haram).

A series of terrorist attacks and foiled plots involving women have occurred in Europe, the United States and Africa. The influx of Muslim refugees into Germany, France, Britain, Belgium and even the U.S. has resulted in female jihadists either entering countries as refugees or being recruited and trained in their new homes.

The employment of women as terrorists creates a new challenge for security agencies. “It’s a concern … There is constant evolution as the pressures on [ISIS] increase, so we are not complacent,”said one western European security official.

In anti-terrorism operation depicted in a report from Europol (European Police Organization), police and border patrol officer from Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Switzerland joined forces in an anti-terrorism operation. Their men and women were deployed to locations in Germany, Austria and Hungary. The operation resulted in the arrest of about 40 immigrant smugglers and 580 smuggled immigrants, many of them women.

According to Homeland Security News Wire, ISIS is facing a military defeat in the shrinking areas it controls in Iraq and Syria. A number of reputable analysts have argued that the Islamist organization will continue to gain support because of past victories, with male and female recruits believing ISIS and its affiliates need fighters more than ever.  

Meanwhile soldiers and airmen from the South Dakota National Guard are already preparing for joint support of the 58th Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C., according to Air Force Master Sgt. Christopher Stewart, 114th Fighter Wing.

“They will join hundreds of National Guardsmen from across the country to assist with security, crowd control and traffic management throughout the national capital region when President-elect Donald J. Trump takes the oath as the 45th president of the United States. This joint service security group is preparing with refresher training on the safe and secure movement of civilians prior to, during and after inauguration events” he said in a media release on Monday.
