During Outcry to Continue Killing Unborn Babies, ‘Tough Guy’ Sen. Schumer Publicly Threatens Two Supreme Court Justices

The following is based on a statement sent to the National Association of Chiefs of Police by The Committee for Justice’s Director of Public Policy Ashley Baker condemning Senator Chuck Schumer’s threats directed at Associate Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh during his angry and threatening speech today at a pro-abortion rally.

“Senator Schumer reached a new low today when he stood on the Supreme Court steps and threatened Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh. His political posturing outside the Court was a flagrant attempt to influence the two newest Justices in the building,” said. Sen. Schumer, D-New York, the Senate Minority Leader.

Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh were nominated out of the Tenth Circuit and the D.C. Circuit, respectively. They have no lower court records on abortion-related cases, so it is absurd to say they have “released the whirlwind.” As with any new member of the court, there is some speculation about how Gorsuch and Kavanaugh will weigh in on abortion-related cases. Senator Schumer is attempting to strong-arm them with vague threats. It won’t work, according to The Committee for Justice, a legal think-tank and government watchdog..

While Schumer, Democrats and their news-media mouthpieces are attempting to convince their baby-terminating constituents, the case is not about abortion.  June Medical Services v. Russo is not a case about a woman’s right to abortion while it’s about legal standing to bring the case to the SCOTUS. Senator Schumer’s legacy so far as a member of the House of Representatives and then the U.S. Senate is his penchant for deliberately misrepresenting legal issues in order to score points. While Schumer and his fellow leftists march lockstep to the beat of the abortion-lobby and feminists who donate hundreds of millions of dollars to pro-abortion politicians, the news media is always available to do the bidding of the abortion conglomerate and its political representatives.

All of this is being achieved at the expense of pregnant women who trust these merchants of death, since the law disputed in this case requires doctors who perform abortions to have local hospital admitting privileges.

“People should be outraged by not only Senator Schumer’s reprehensible threats but also by the fact that his opportunistic attempt to manipulate the women he claims to represent actually makes them less safe,” said the email sent to NACOP by The Committee for Justice.

The Committee for Justice’s President Curt Levey is angered and upset over seeing U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justices threatened by a top Democratic Party senator who spent three-years trying to overthrow a U.S. President but now is active in June Medical Services v. Russo, a challenge to the constitutionality of the Louisiana Unsafe Abortion Protection Act, which requires doctors who perform abortions to have local hospital admitting privileges. “If these politicians were honest, some of them would probably condemn the procedures used to end a baby’s life,” said former police official and attorney Jerry Lyedecker.

For many of the people and organizations closely watching this case, it is all about abortion. But there is just as much reason to watch this case for what it says about precedent and what it signals about the Court’s newest justice, Brett Kavanaugh. Though not addressed here, there is an interesting standing issue as well, according to comments by several conservative attorneys and lawmen..

Many observers in the media are vocally curious about Kavanaugh’s vote since it is unclear what sort of justice he will be. Conservatives hope that he will be a principled conservative jurist in the mold of Justices Thomas, Alito and Gorsuch. But they also worry that he might share some of the tendencies of Chief Justice John Roberts, a politically-minded compromiser who shocked many Republicans when he actually saved Obamacare especially its financial penalty for not having heath insurance.

Such tendencies would be most likely to emerge in a case like June Medical Services, involving the political sensitivity of the abortion issue and the potential of further angering the women’s groups on the left that attacked Kavanaugh when he was nominated to the Supreme Court,

“Eyes will also be on Roberts himself, not only because he is the Court’s swing vote, but also because his past votes make his vote here hard to predict. Roberts voted to temporarily block the Louisiana abortion law last year, but also voted in dissent to uphold a similar Texas abortion law in 2016,” said the Committee for Justice officials.

I’ve thought for quite some time that America has been far too welcoming to incoming Muslims. Even a cursory study of the comparison between the views regarding abortion that Muslims and Christians have should have been reason enough to outlaw abortions of normal and healthy fetuses. It’s now imperative that Muslims should NOT be allowed to serve in any governmental position in America. Their views on almost everything seem diametrically opposite from the views of the vast majority of Americans. Allowing abortions for convenience, in my opinion, is giving in to murder.
