Sen. Chuck Schumer Proposes ‘Body Armor Control’ in Addition to Gun Control

Sen. Schumer is very generous with taxpayers’ money and will use some of it to disarm those taxpayers.

Senate Minority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-New York, has introduced a bill that would make it mandatory for the FBI to authorize a sale of body armor — vests, helmets, and other bullet resistant protective gear — to American citizens.

Schumer has proposed the new legislation to require the FBI to sign off on body armor sales to civilians following the attack by mass killer Connor Betts.

Clad in military-style body armor, Betts opened fire in a trendy Dayton, Ohio, neighborhood and killed nine victims before he was shot to death by police officers responding to the killing spree.

Schumer complained about how easy it is for anyone to now purchase a bulletproof vest for $185 and a tactical mask for $10 under current law. Schumer voiced his complaint at a press conference at his Midtown office.

“With the click of a mouse, scroll of a thumb, dialing of a phone, someone up to no good can get this. What we have learned is that a good number of those intent on mass shootings buy body armor. They want to kill as many people as possible,” complained Schumer.

The restrictions would not apply to law enforcement personnel.

“Here we have a perfect example of Democrats revealing their true agenda. Not satisfied with depriving citizens of the tools to defend themselves, now they want to deprive us of being able to survive a shooting attack by terrorists, alt-left America haters and notorious gangs. What’s next? A ban on bullet-resistant home and vehicle windows?” asked Douglas Androves, a police firearms instructor and former police academy training officer.

“Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is the chief obstructionist of domestic policies and appointments of President Donald Trump,” well-known police adviser and former NRA publications editor John M. Snyder noted.

“Schumer opposes the civil right to keep and bear arms as well as the civil right to life itself,” Snyder added.

President Trump himself has called Schumer the “clown of clowns,” while top talk show host — and former Justice Department chief of staff — Mark Levin called him a hypocrite since Schumer is a staunch “gun-grabber” who wishes to disarm American citizens while he packs a concealed handgun and is usually surrounded by armed protection officers.

“Hopefully,” Snyder said, “there are enough patriots in the Senate Democratic Caucus to overcome Schumer’s attempts to thwart the will of voters as expressed last November in the victory they gave Trump for his America first positions.”

“Schumer plots to prevent Senate confirmation of Supreme Court nominees who support the right to life and the right to keep and bear arms.  He worked to derail the appointment of gun rights and life rights supporter Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) as Attorney General,” said the top spokesperson for gun rights.

Snyder said, “Sen. Schumer is a leading opponent of the right to life and of the right to keep and bear arms for the defense of life.  He promotes abortion and even partial birth abortion.  He promotes bans on the acquisition and use of firearms and certain types of firearms by law-abiding citizens.  Citizens want them for the defense of life as well as for other legitimate purposes.”
