Deep State Propaganda: Bob Woodward Attacks Trump in Suspicious Book

In the middle of this week’s U.S. Senate confirmation hearing for the next Supreme Court Justice, the Trump-haters in the nation’s news media were all abuzz about a new book by an old member of the Deep State propaganda machine. The book — Fear: Trump in the White House by Robert Woodward — is just one more example of today’s fake, phony, fraudulent melodramas being passed off as news stories and news analysis these days.

The 75-year old Bob Woodward describes the Trump White House as an institution run by a madman in his book. President is depicted — some may claim slandered — as a tyrannical bully. who believes “everybody’s out to get [him],” according to the Washington Post.

That allegation about fearing people are out to get him — many call it paranoia — might stem from the fact that the members of the news media have done everything in their power to destroy his presidency and make him either an impeached commander in chief or a one-term resident of the White House.

“It’s almost comical to read that a man who hates Trump and would love bringing him down accusing his target of being paranoid,” Mike Baker, a political strategist said. “That’s not being paranoid; that’s being a discerning leader,” Baker added.

More than a dozen of this writer’s police and security friends and colleagues have voted for Trump. The unions representing local cops, the Border Patrol agents’ union, the union for special agents of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and several other national and local police collective bargaining organizations including the 300,000-member Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), all have endorsed Trump for President.

“For Woodward to describe Trump as a madman and abuser of power pays a huge disservice to the nations protectors. Of course, Woodward never covered the streets of any U.S. city such as Chicago and he couldn’t catch a cold in the dead of winter, let alone cover a serious crime story,” said Peter McInerry, a corporate security director and former Secret Service agent.

Woodward — who obviously thinks he deserves to be believed based on his “reputation as a journalism superstar” —  describes a “nervous breakdown” of the executive branch. He singles out Secretary of Defense James Mattis and Chief of Staff John Kelly by telling his readers that the two men fear the president. Yet, Woodward fails to describe where he got that information.

“Are we supposed to suspend our discernment of those who have served the nation in the military? Are we going to believe that an American Marine Four-Star General who served in many command positions including  Supreme Allied Commander during both the Bush 43 and Obama administrations, would be unable to handle what some pencil-pusher in the three-branches of government threw at him?” asks Former police chief and political strategist, Melvin Thomas.

“Woodward may have a problem with his nerves but he shouldn’t project his inability to deal with stress onto a man known as ‘Mad Dog,” Chief Thomas said.

In the past, there were times Woodward’s accuracy was questioned. He’s the one blamed for today’s journalistic overuse of anonymous statements. For example,  the former CIA Director George Tenet — arguably the last honest man to head that spy agency — challenged Bob’s claim that he said there was a “slam dunk case” that Saddam Hussein had WMDs in Iraq.

Woodward also reported that former CIA Director William Casey, who worked for Ronald Reagan, made a deathbed confession that he had known about the diversion of Iran arms sales money to the Contras in Nicaragua (aka the Iran-Contra scandal that nearly took down President Ronald Reagan). William’s daughter, Bernadette, said that Bob “never got the deathbed confession.”

Why would Woodward lie? Perhaps it’s because he hated Reagan as much if not more than he hates Trump.
