Cohen’s Trump-Hating Attorney Lanny Davis Caught Lying Yet Again

Bill and Hillary Clinton friend, sycophant and attorney Lanny Davis says he was the anonymous source in a last month’s CNN story that reported his client, Michael Cohen, had privately claimed that President Trump had advance knowledge of the infamous Trump Tower meeting between his son and Russians. It appears that Davis is contradicting his own words on CNN last week.

In the CNN story, Cohen was reported to have claimed he had personally witnessed Donald Trump Jr. informing then-candidate Trump about the June 2016 meeting. Such a claim from Cohen would directly contradict Trump’s statements about his knowledge of the meeting, where Russians were set to offer dirt on Hillary Clinton.

“CNN jumped on the story without investigating its legitimacy or accuracy. When a Democrat is the subject of a negative story, the reporters at CNN dig and dig to find information that helps the Democrat, but if the subject of a negative story is a Republican, CNN and other outlets will run with the story,” notes political strategist Mike Baker.

Lanny Davis, a Clinton operative, apparently wormed his way into the anti-Trump charade that passes for an investigation.

CNN’s July 26 story has come under fresh scrutiny in recent days after Davis acknowledged he had served as an anonymous source for multiple news outlets who were seeking to confirm the CNN article in the hours after it published. Davis has backed away from the story in recent days, telling the Washington Post that he is not certain if the claim is accurate, and that he could not independently corroborate it.

Earlier this month, Clinton confidant Lanny Davis revealed to the media his client, Michael Cohen, had inside knowledge linking President Donald Trump to the alleged Russian hacking of the Democratic National Committee’s computer system.

During interviews with Trump-hating reporters last Tuesday and Wednesday, Davis made an allegation against Trump, claiming his client Michael Cohen had information that will interest special counsel Robert Mueller in his quest to tie Trump to the Russians’ hacking of the Democrats’ emails.

During Davis’ Tuesday appearance with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, Davis intimated that Cohen, a former lawyer for Trump, possesses “knowledge about the computer crime of hacking [of the DNC] and whether or not Mr. Trump knew ahead of time about that crime and even cheered it on.”

The next day during an interview with print journalists, Davis said his client “has information that would be of interest to Mr. Mueller in his probe of a conspiracy to corrupt American democracy, very similar to the indictment of the 12 Russians.”

Is Robert Mueller the right man to serve as an unbiased investigator or is he a political hack as dishonest and corrupt as the Clinton clan?

Davis’ talking points, if proven to be accurate, could be a boon for the suspected Deep Stater Robert Mueller and his investigative team, who are probing whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russian President Vladimir Putin to influence the 2016 election. Trump has repeatedly denied knowing about hacks of Democrats’ emails before they occurred.

As far as politically-motivated espionage, during his campaign against the Democratic Party’s Hillary Clinton, Trump did mention espionage; he said that members of the Obama administration were using electronic surveillance against his campaign team and his private telephones at New York City’s Trump Towers.

But now Davis is trying his best at clarifying to The Washington Post that his supposed revelations were based on his intuition, not concrete evidence. In other words, he doesn’t have evidence and neither does his client.

“Davis can be properly described as a personification of the cliché, ‘everything that’s wrong with Washington.’ Cringingly slavish to those in power, a consigliere, fundraiser, surrogate, and cheerful liar, Davis was a perpetual presence on cable TV during the Clinton scandals. Few men in history have ever been able to summon his kind of loyalty in the pursuit of shameless, transparent deceit and corruption,” wrote The Federalist’s David Harsanyly.

And former federal law enforcement official Wayne Donnelly is even less kind when speaking about the smarmy Clinton-bagman: “Lanny Davis is as big a liar as his masters Bill and Hillary Clinton. The majority of sycophants in the news media have always treated him as if he were some kind of saint seeking to protect the members of the Democratic Party cabal we now call the Deep State.”

The Federalist column also notes: “Here is Davis back in the news, preaching—without even a trace of irony—the value of integrity and honesty. Davis is now the lawyer for Cohen, the former Trump fixer who has a recording of the president discussing a possible payoff tied to allegations of an affair with a former Playboy model, Karen McDougal. Davis contends that Cohen has turned a corner in his life, and he’s now dedicated to telling the truth to everyone.”

Will Lanny Davis be turning any corners in his life so he too will be dedicated to telling the truth?
