Sex Crimes Investigation: Federal agent indicted on rape and assault charges

Boston rapist James Clarke served as a criminal investigator for the IRS.

A grand jury in Massachusetts on Wednesday handed down a criminal indictment charging a 44-year-old IRS armed federal agent with felony sex crimes in the Boston area to which he was assigned, local police sources told Conservative Base.

The Internal Revenue Service criminal investigator, James Clarke — a sworn federal law enforcement officer — was indicted on on a number of felony charges including aggravated rape, indecent assault, and battery.

Clarke’s alleged attack occurred on July 26, 2017 with a college student, whose name is being withheld for her own protection. “I agree with keeping the identity of the victim of this heinous crime a secret. While Special Agent Clarke may be in jail for now, the victim should not have to fear being harassed by the perpetrator’s colleagues who may also be federal cops,” said a former Special Victims Unit detective, Iris Aquino.

The Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley said in a press statement that Clarke is accused of inviting a 21-year-old female college student for drinks after work, but their at first innocent and pleasant “date” turned into a night of terror for the young woman.

The Boston Globe reports: [Law enforcement] officials say Clarke used his handcuffs to restrain the woman while parked in his in a garage. He then assaulted her with his service firearm, and then forced her to engage in sexual acts. Besides the nightmarish attack in the garage, an “additional assault by the perpetrator occurred inside the car” while it was outside South Station, Conley’s office added, citing forensic tests and medical records they obtained during the course of the investigation.

The suspect then drove out of the Government Center garage and left her at South Station, where she managed to call the police and who had her transported to a local hospital.

Clarke’s criminal defense attorney, Michael Doolin, said Wednesday his client denies the allegations and looks forward to being vindicated  in court.

The Boston Globe also reported: “Caller is a female, says he put a gun in her mouth and sexually assaulted her,” the 911 dispatcher announced over the Boston police radio system just after 10:30 p.m. July 26, directing officers to South Station.

“We’ve got the victim,” an officer radioed back after locating the 21-year-old woman at a train terminal, according to audio of the transmissions recorded by the Broadcastify System. “I got the suspect’s name. It’s Jamie Clarke . . . he’s an investigator with the IRS.”

Clarke’s arraignment is scheduled for April 5.
