Archie Bunker’s creator blasts and smears Trump during Hollywood banquet
The man who created the television character Archie Bunker (All in the Family), a character who is said to represent everything he hates about conservatives told a live audience that GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump scares him more than the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
Television entertainment icon Norman Lear, 93, told a crowd of the Hollywood elite during a People for the American Way Spirit of Liberty banquet: “I’ll let you in on a little secret. At a board meeting this very morning, People for the American Way decided to devote a major effort to the issue of hate speech and anti-Muslim rhetoric.”
Lear claims that hate speech and anti-Islam are now part of the Republican presidential primary race. He also announced that organization he helped create will begin its own anti-Republican issues-oriented sometime in 2016.
“I’ve never seen our country so confused, so removed from anything resembling an American dream, heading in a direction that scares the hell out of me,” he moaned.
“Of course, Lear and his leftist fellow travelers forget how much hate they’ve spewed at conservatives, Christians and anyone who disagrees with their neo-Marxist aqenda,” said Michael Barker, a political consultant.
Meanwhile, far-left Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Massachusetts, a leading progressive who enjoys a strong following in leftist Hollywood and was honored with the Person of the Year Award, threw her two-cents in saying: .“The racist, sexist hatred that Donald Trump spews is ugly, but make no mistake, this is quickly becoming the Republican Party brand. When he called Mexican immigrants rapists and murderers and when he called women pigs, the other presidential candidates didn’t call him out.”
Sen. Warren, who has claimed she is 1/58 Cheyenne Indian, is also quoted as saying, “Trump is taking the GOP from the party of the rich and powerful to the party of fear and hatred.” She said this during a $5,000.00-per-plate dinner where many of the attendees make upwards of $10-million per film
While the liberal-left has taken issue with Trump telling Americans the facts, statistics show that a disproportionate number of immigrants are guilty of serious crimes such as murder, rape and robbery. And Donald Trump called Rose O’Donnell a pig during their well-covered feud, and he hasn’t said that about most women with whom he associates. “These women — including Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, Elizabeth Warren and Whoopie Goldberg — should have one-tenth the class and grace of Trump’s wife and daughter, who all but runs his real estate empire while he runs for president,” said former intelligence operative and police detective Sid Franes.
“It’s insane to see and hear people — who love a presidential candidate who’s an habitual liar, was involved in activities that would make Mafia captains envious, and who has allowed people to die in order to get votes — badmouthing Republicans for telling the truth. It’s insane and it’s now the American Way,” noted Franes, who as a cop investigated organization crime cases.
