As Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris, saluted the “peaceful” protesters who demonstrated against law enforcement in the wake of several high-profile police-involved shootings and deaths, mask-wearing, hoodie-wearing activists were smashing the windows of private homes and terrorizing the adjacent streets.
Harris’ praised the violence prone mob during a speech which was held at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
Given a question about police shooting of Breonna Taylor in Louisville, Kentucky, Harris quickly steered the conversation to the “peaceful” rallies, marches and protests organized by or inspired by Black Lives Matter and other Democratic Party-connected organizations, with millions of dollars provided by the likes of radical multi-billionaire George Soros.
“People around our country of every race, of every age, of every gender, perfect strangers to each other, marched shoulder to shoulder, arm in arm, fighting for us to finally achieve that ideal of equal justice under law,” Harris said of demonstrations following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody.
“And I was a part of those peaceful protests,” she said.
While Harris disavowed violent protests from Black Lives Matter (BLM) and Antifa (Anti-Fascism) on the streets of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, protesters stirred up trouble and destruction despite Harris’ claim they were peaceful.
They were protesting a decision to drop charges against Wauwatosa Police Officer Joseph Mensah, who fatally shot an armed suspect, 17-year-old Alvin Cole.
“These people couldn’t care less about the teenaged gunman. They want their ‘pound of flesh’ from the police officer,” said Zach Demetri, a former police academy instructor. “That is not justice… it’s mob rule,” he added.
“I do not believe that the State could disprove self-defense or defense of others in this case and therefore could not meet the burden required to charge Officer Mensah. With this I conclude my criminal review of the matter,” District Attorney John T. Chisholm said in a press statement this week.
